Who are the Dutch Heart Foundation?

The Dutch Heart Foundation is an organisation that leads the fight against heart and vascular diseases in the Netherlands. Unfortunately these diseases are the second leading cause of death in the Netherlands, currently affecting around 1.7 million people.

If nothing is done to help then the number of people with heart related illnesses will rise to 2.7 million by 2030.

The Hartstichting invest in research, education and improving patient care. Besides doing exceptional work they are a non-profit organisation. Which means their work is dependant on donations, particularly from Dutch citizens and businesses.

'Hart voor de Zaak' - Committed to the Cause

Aqua Resins Technologies decided to become a partner of the Dutch Heart Foundation’s ‘Hart voor de Zaak‘ – ‘Heart for the Business‘ initiative.

‘Hart voor de Zaak’ is a well known Dutch expression for “being committed to the cause or being a company man”. We feel this perfectly reflects our own company principles.

Our Contribution

Previously we have specifically donated to the research branch within Hartstichting but this year we contributed more generally. This means our contribution will go towards preventing heart diseases, getting faster help to those in need and research.

Specifically research is being carried out on heart disease in women and hereditary heart conditions or heart conditions detected from birth.

Health Screening

By joining the ‘Hart voor de Zaak’ initiative we’ll receive annual heart-health screening and a vitality package for all of our staff. As a result, we can better support our employees health and well-being.
